Research confirms benefits of Opragon compared to LAF and mixing ventilation

The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH) has investigated the new Temperature controlled AirFlow (TAF) being used in the Opragon^® operating room ventilation and compared it with the two conventional technologies (LAF and TMA). The super-computer based numerical simulations confirmed that Opragon creates ultra-clean conditions in the whole operating room using significantly less air than LAF. TMA could not maintain ultra-clean levels. It also showed that only increasing the airflow rate (ACH) was not efficient to improve the removal of bacteria.
